19Dough1 was born from a desire to bring quality food and exceptional service to the Bethany Beach area. Inspired by the town’s history, our name reflects the year Bethany Beach was founded. We offer a menu of house-made bagels, sandwiches, acai bowls, breakfast bowls, and avocado toast, all crafted with care by our team.
Our founders, Brea and Ben Wang, along with their friend Geaton DeCesaris, have been close since childhood. Together, they created 19Dough1 to provide a welcoming, locally-owned alternative to chain stores. We proudly serve coffee from Rise Up Coffee Roasters and offer soy-free, dairy-free, vegan-friendly smoothies.

Cool new bagel shop in Bethany! I got a bagel with sausage and bacon. The bacon…my goodness! It was super thick and had so much flavor! Can’t wait to go back again.
